ART: Pop Up Show at Hotel Indigo
Just in case you haven’t caught it already tehre is still time to go and have a look at some lovely art in a lovely space at Hotel Indigo. It’s all in aid of good cause the ClementJames Centre and is a unique collection of specially commissioned works designed to integrate seamlessly into the fabric of the hotel.
This pop-up exhibition will be running until the 13th April and will be showing surrealist artist Courtney Cornelius Adams based in Houston, Texas, who has injected his cultural and vibrant style into the hotel’s room signage with aspects of British culture and heritage on display; London Underground, football, fashion and inspiration taken from the Sherlock Holmes movie “Murder by Decree.”
South London based artist Shiroma Ratne who has infused her engaging and spiritual vibe into their room service menu folders with references to Victorian-styled objects of desire, gilded with diamond blue sapphires. Guest artist Francesco Jacobello has applied his urban and contemporary style to the portraits of the General Manager and one of its long serving employees Rosetta Watson.
A fourth artist, Ali Jabbar, will have his passionate and emotive work displayed at the Press Preview luncheon, Preview Evening, charity auction and one month fine art exhibition with money raised contributing to the Kensington and Chelsea Foundation’s chosen charity the ClementJames Centre.
